TECHNICAL NOTE
PRELIMINARY REMARK AND NOTICE
BEFORE VIEWING THE PAINTINGS
The images below are presented for informational and documentary purposes.
Nothing can replace the interaction between the viewer’s eye and the artwork placed before it, with or without appropriate lighting, at different distances, whether viewed up close or from afar.
The exact colour of the painting and the impression of material or thickness cannot therefore be guaranteed through these images.
Some images appear relatively faithful to the original, while others are less so. These observations must nevertheless be qualified, as depending on external light conditions or the quality of lighting, the paintings may vary in tone.
THE MOON PRODUCTION
(2023–2026)
At present, two series of twelve paintings have already been completed. They are entitled MOON I and MOON II.
These two series are inspired by major events of the Sixties: the MOON I series refers to the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969, while the MOON II series refers to the golden age of major pop rock bands such as the Doors in the late 1960s.
A third series entitled MOON III is currently in production in the studio. This series will be inspired both by more contemporary events, such as the recent acceleration of NASA’s programme ordered by the President of the United States or China’s stated ambition to establish a base on the Moon within the next ten years, and by earlier artistic approaches, such as the famous piano sonata Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.
The MOON III series is expected to be completed, in principle, by autumn 2026.
SIX PAINTINGS
FROM THE
MOON I SERIES
The paintings in the MOON I series contain encrypted messages using the ® CODE BACH process.
These messages refer in particular to the famous sentence spoken by Neil Armstrong when he set foot on the Moon on July 21, 1969 (“one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”).
Graphically, the symbols corresponding to the digits 0 and 1 of the binary system are visible in the form of dots aligned along the left and right sides of the painting, in two colours and in two variants: hollow or solid.
Our selection presents six paintings from this series, of identical format and in different colours.

SIX PAINTINGS
FROM THE
MOON II SERIES
The paintings in the MOON II series also contain encrypted messages using the ® CODE BACH process.
These messages refer this time to a poem by singer Jim Morrison: The Celebration of the Lizard (“Moon, Moon, Moon!”), written shortly before his tragic death in Paris in 1971.
At first glance, the coloured dots in these psychedelic-looking paintings evoke stars in the infinite poetic sky of the Doors. However, there is more to it, as the four possible colours, as well as the different diameters, make it possible to represent graphically the four digits 0, 1, 2 and 3 of the base-four numerical system, thus allowing these messages to be encrypted within the paintings through a more complex use of the CODE BACH process.
Our selection presents six paintings from this series, of identical format, in different splatter colours on either dark or light grey backgrounds, depending on the painting.
